◉Regular Seminars are conducted to keep in touch with the recent trends in the Higher education scenario by resource persons from United States Educational Foundation in India (USEFI) – a part of U.S. Embassy, U.K. Consulate, Professors from Foreign Universities and our Alumni who have done Higher Studies and employed in India and Abroad.

We are living in a data-generating world, devices we use are generating huge volume of data, satellites generating different varieties of data, Aeroplane generating signals at every seconds. In Business, Data Growth is Huge, All the Data are Valuable, Disk is Cheap, Won’t fit on our traditional system. So we need distributed system to handle such big volume of data. Distributed data across more than 1000 nodes, Distributed data is faster computation. We can store and retrieve data in parallel which is 1000 times faster. With this data we can do business analysis and future prediction.

Not only Big Data Analysis, we also teach Data Science for the students which is very useful for extracting the information from the data, statistical analysis and how we can make use of the information for business intelligence and prediction analysis.



For the benefits of the students we have a Dedicated Server and with 30 nodes The “Data Science & Big Data Analytics – EMC Centre of Academic Excellence Lab” was inaugurated on 12-Aug-2015 by Mr.Krishna Kant, Head EMC Academic Alliance (South Asia, Russia, ANZ). As a professional development for students, we have been given training since August 2015, 150 Students from CSE, IT, ECE & EEE have gained the knowledge.

Workshop on Configuring Big Data Tools

A One day workshop on How to Configure the Big Data Tools on 16-Jul-2015. Faculty from various Engineering College participated in this workshop and benifitted.


The Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) course educates participants about cloud deployment and service models, cloud infrastructure, and the key considerations in migrating to cloud computing. For all definitions of cloud computing, the course has resorted to the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology as a guide. The course covers technologies required to build classic (traditional), virtualized, and cloud data center environments. These technologies include compute, storage, networking, desktop and application virtualization. Additional areas of focus include backup/recovery, business continuity, security, and management. Participants will learn about the key considerations and steps involved in transitioning from the current state of their data center to a cloud computing environment. Upon completing this course, participants will have the knowledge to make informed decisions about migrating to cloud infrastructure and choosing the best deployment model for their organization.


Pre-requisite Knowledge/Skills

◎ Basic understanding of computer architecture, operating system, networking and database
◎ Experience in Compute system, storage and network infrastructure will be an added advantage

Upon successful completion of the course, participants should be able to:

◍ Explain the phases of transition from classic data center to virtual data center and then to the Cloud
◍ Describe virtualization technology at compute, storage, network, desktop, and application layers of IT infrastructure
