About

The National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of Armed Forces with its headquarters at New Delhi, India.This organization consists total of 13,00,000+ cadets all over India.The motto of National Cadet Corp(NCC) is "UNITY AND DISCIPLINE".

NCC is a voluntary organization helping India in ration-building . The NCC unit of Jeppiaar institute of technology is attached with 1 (TAMILNADU) BATTALION NCC , MADRAS – B Group was started in 2011 in presence of J N S Nogi and is functioning successfully under the guidance managing director Dr. N . Marie Wilson . the strength of NCC division is 50 cadets . Every year 20 parades are conducted annualy To create awareness among students.

OBJECTIVE

NCC jeppiaar institute of technology is  intended to bring unity , self-confidence , to improve leadership quality among cadets and help the society in cleanliness , rode safety , sanitization etc.. and educating common people about basic hygiene

EVENTS CONDUCTED

  • 1[TN] Comp Tech Coy National Cadet Corps (Army) of Jeppiaar Institute of Technology organize “ FLAG AREA COMPETITION” on Republic Day with NCC Cadets doing guard of honour to the National Flag  .
  • In the month of June NCC ARMY of Jeppiaar institute of Technology conducts yoga event on behalf of  “INTER NATIONAL YOGA DAY ” along with civilians .
  • On August 15 th NCC army of Jeppiaar Institute of Technology celebrates “Independence Day” by doing the guard of honour to the National Flag .
  • National Cadet Corps (Army) of Jeppiaar institute of Technology also conduct “Tree Plantation Program “ in college campus . In this program tree saplings are  planted in the college campus.
  • On the month of September NCC-Army of Jeppiaar Institute of Technology conduct various events on an account of “swachhta pakhwada” campaign among NCC cadets & rally are been held in closure with educating school students on cleanliness , road safety .
  • NCC-Army of Jeppiaar Institute of Technology conduct Blood Donation Camp in association with Blood Bank – Indian Red Cross Society(IRCS), Chennai . Yearly around 100 blood donors donated the blood in this camp.
  • By the month of November an Awareness Rally is held to educate rural communities about public health , water scarcity , sanitation, problems of open defecation , etc.. by cadets of NCC-Army of Jeppiaar Institute of Technology
